The journal Historical Sociology is one of the scientific–research journals published by Tarbiat Modares University Press, supervised by the editor-in-chief and editorial board.

From 2009 to 2011, this journal was published under the title Encyclopedia of Social Sciences. Since Autumn and Winter 2011, based on the resolution of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, it has continued publication under the new title Historical Sociology. Its scientific–research grade was officially recognized according to letter No. 18/3/162708 dated 2012/09/29 and the resolution of the Humanities Committee of the Ministry of Science dated 2012/10/16, starting from issue No. 2 (Autumn and Winter 2011).

The journal Historical Sociology fully adheres to publishing ethics, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the executive regulations of the law on preventing and combating academic misconduct (click here). All submitted articles are first checked for originality and similarity using iThenticate and Samim Noor, and then evaluated by expert reviewers. This journal uses a Double-Blind Review process, ensuring that the identities of authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout.

Important Notice for Authors

According to the request of the National Commission of Scientific Journals, registration and display of a free ORCID ID and the use of an academic or organizational email address are mandatory for authors. Therefore, authors are kindly requested to obtain their ORCID researcher ID and academic/organizational email before submitting their manuscripts.

In addition, the journal Historical Sociology charges a fee of 6,000,000 IRR (equivalent to 600,000 Tomans) for peer review and publication. This includes:

• 150,000 Tomans at the submission stage for peer review
• 450,000 Tomans at the final acceptance stage

Payments are made via the journal’s online payment gateway and processed automatically. Payment is required after initial approval (before peer review) or after final approval (before acceptance issuance).
